Mr. Abdul Waheed has worked for some of the finest educational institutions in capacity as Librarian for over 12 years and Chief Librarian for over 17 years. He is senior most librarian in the country in terms of experience and exposure. He have studied, worked and travelled abroad and have had the first hand experience of the management and information systems in place in libraries of UK, USA, South Korea and India. He also implemented state of the art library and information management systems at the University of Punjab and GC University Lahore. Also conceived the idea of websites of GCU and Punjab University libraries and also have the honour of administering official website of GC University during stay as Chief Librarian at GCU i.e. 2000-2016. He authored four books and written about 200 columns in national newspapers. It is pertinent to mention that he also have had the privilege of being a member of “Content Selection Committee” of WDL (World Digital Library)

He is currently doing Phd from the University of Sarghodha. He has rich experience in Library planning & Management, Information Management, HR Management, Training and research.
Mr. Shafiq has more than 23 years of experience in the field of library & information management and administration through the establishment/supervision of libraries & information resource centers of the international/national NGOs & research institutions such as UCP, IWMI, IOP, PPAF, ECP, USAID, and UNDP. He holds various foreign online certifications in the field of LIS management, digital preservation, and automation. Mr. Shafiq holds the degrees of M.Phil. Library & Information Sciences, MLS in Library Science, MA Economics DLSc. Library Science and a Ph.D. scholar in Library & Information Science at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan. His research topic is "Prospects of Digital Resources Integration in University Libraries of Pakistan". He received awards from national and international organizations like HRDN, SLA, and ASIS&T, etc. He is an Alumnae U. S. International Visitor Leadership Program 2007. He is a member of many local and foreign professional associations and networks. He is fond of traveling, sightseeing, and hiking.
